Fred.
W. Wright Jr. is a Florida-based writer and editor with more than 3,000
article sales in the past 25 years. His credits include ADVERTISING AGE,
VARIETY, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER, WEATHERWISE, ST PETERSBURG TIMES,
MIAMI HERALD, ORLANDO SENTINEL, BAY-TO-BAY MAGAZINE, FLORIDA MEDICAL
BUSINESS, GAYOT.COM and many more.
Early in his journalism career, Fred worked more than a decade for a daily newspaper as entertainment writer, critic and columnist. As an editor, he has worked with numerous authors, both as consultant and advisor, plus providing line editing services when needed. Genres range from nonfiction to film to fiction. As an instructor on the college level, Fred teaches at Eckerd College and St. Petersburg College. Courses include composition, journalism, motion picture writing, technical writing and travel writing. He is also an instructor in nonfiction for Writer's Digest Schools. He teaches courses both on-site and online for St. Petersburg College's innovative distance learning program. As a travel writer, Fred has extensive credits in both print and Internet markets. He has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and the world with bylines from Egypt, Malta, England, Australia, Germany, Austria, Canada and elsewhere. He is an Active member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), a professional travel writers/photographers association. And as a scriptwriter, he has penned industrial and commercials both solo and in collaboration with Words, Images & Co. of Seattle, Wash. And he has written nearly a dozen feature-length scripts, also either solo or in collaboration. |
